Chuggalug is a full band trio from Harford County, MD that plays in the greater Baltimore and DC areas, southern PA, and Virginia. We play and write original tunes in addition to playing cover songs you already know and love. Chuggalug is Russ Greene (vox/gtr), PJ Lee (vox/keys/bass), and Tom White (drums), with Kim Martin on drums for DC/VA shows. We are available for public bar/club dates and private functions.

Originally based in Rockville, Chuggalug performed in all areas within 90 mi of DC from 2010 to 2020. After the passing of former lead vocalist/guitarist Charlie Thomas in 2021, our former Baltimore/PA drummer Phil Brotman continues to play in The Vaguely Absurd and an ELO tribute band. Kim Martin plays several dates each year with The Rockits and with Don Bruce from DC area. Our new resident drummer Tom White has played for decades with Rob Fahey and The Pieces, led by a regional live, recording, and MTV artist.

Chuggalug is so proud to have regrouped in 2024 with Baltimore musical heavyweights Russ and Tom. We worked hard to become a regional band. Our band family looks forward to a rockin, fun 2025 and beyond!

730-11p. PJ and Russ are bringing the Chuggalug duo back to Piccadilly's in downtown Winchester, VA! Join us for a fun night of music with terrific eats and drinks. I'm so humbled that my favorite live music establishments remember Chuggalug and I can't wait for everyone to meet Russell!

Michael's Cafe, Timonium MD

8p-12a. The new Chuggalug is triumphantly returning to Michael's in Timonium (Baltimore), thanks to our official Baltimore liaison, Scotty B! Please join us for dancing, spectating, and enjoying delicious food, whether an upscale entree or casual handheld. As of 2024, Chuggalug is Russ Greene on vocals/guitar, PJ Lee on vocals/keys/bass, and Tom White on drums. We will still rock out with Boston and Heart, in addition to showcasing one or two original tunes!

In 2012, Scotty B introduced Chuggalug to the greater Baltimore region, as the band was formerly based in Rockville. When no one else wanted to give outsiders a chance, Scotty believed in our trio with the great big sound! He has long been a fan of live music of all eras and mainstream genres. His support of local talent reaches far, including Chuggalug's resident MD/PA drummer Tom White (chuggalugband.com/tom) and The Russ Greene Band from Harford County (chuggalugband.com/russ). Scotty continued booking Chuggalug until the band ended in 2020.

Chuggalug is newly regrouped and ready to rock! Please join us for a night to remember as we return to one the favorite places Chuggalug has played. Hot tunes will also be provided for this First Friday by one of your favorite DJs! Ample free parking, dinner reservations recommended.

7-11p, OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: Chuggalug is so proud and honored to be returning to one of our favorite places to play, the American Legion Susquehanna Post 135 in Perryville, MD. There's plenty of free parking for this spacious music hall. The bartenders and regulars are super friendly. Woo hoo!!!
