This is a new project with mature, settled musicians that will be focusing on known songs, BUT also songs that aren’t usually played in current venues. We want to specialize in covering songs that are not all the same ones circulating in sets today, so they can hear something different for a change. This sets us apart from so many typical cover bands that are saturating the market. We will still play some of the current songs so there is still connection to what’s being currently played/expected. Some of the songs will be great listening tunes that people would love to hear but are just never covered. Most of the songs (whether lesser, or better known) will be danceable. The current line-up has keys, bass and drums, current lead guitarist, all of whom have played semi-professionally over the years within different cover/themed bands over Md. The preference would be for a lead guitarist who can cover lead vocals and front the band. The second option is a Front person with great vocal capability (instrument is a plus). The keyboardist, bassist, and lead guitarist sing lead and backing vox. What will we cover? Almost anything from 50’s Rock on up, some Country, Pop, Motown, and R&B, from more obscure (but known), to current hits. A few of these songs will include great tunes to listen to that nobody ever plays, but people would be surprised and glad to hear.The other caveat in this project is that the person we’re looking for is patient with this group’s development, as we will not be getting gigs overnight. As a matter of fact, many of the venues in Baltimore and surrounding areas are booked solid already for 2024! This group is looking to work on material, and start bookings for 2025 (unless some happen to open-up within this year). Also target #gigs would be 1-2 per month. We’re not looking to make this a full-time job. We do believe that this type of a cover band will have its own niche, and because of it, sets us apart from all other Cover bands.
